It has been some time, since our last post. We are working on bringing more collaborative stuff to Greece and connect our small flexible Jelly Community to other like-minded people and communities. We stumbled upon MakeSense, a community that challenges people for social innovation and social entrepreneurship. As you can imagine, we could not resist reaching out to them. Veronica from the MakeSense Gang and I met today over a casual coffee chat under the Acropolis, setting up the connection between MakeSense and Jelly.

Jelly Coworking Community aims to establish an organization that promotes, engages, educates, supports social entrepreneurs, acting locally from Athens and Greece but empowering them within a global network of organizations.
The truth is that entrepreneurs are rarely motivated by the prospect of financial gain, because the odds of making lots of money are clearly stacked against them. Instead, both the entrepreneur and the social entrepreneur are strongly motivated by the opportunity they identify, pursuing that vision relentlessly, and deriving considerable psychic reward from the process of realizing their ideas.

What does a Social Entrepreneur?
A business entrepreneur might create entirely new industries, a social entrepreneur comes up with new solutions to social problems and then implements them on a large scale.
